You don’t see penguins on the main road. Or do you? Boulders Beach in Simonstown is home to a colony of African penguins. But Simonstown Main Road is not home to a colony of African penguins. So, this morning I was surprised to cycle past the golf course and see two penguins wondering down the side of the road.
As soon as they say me they ducked into the bushes, so this is all I managed to shoot with my happy-snappy (no I don’t take my SLR when I cycle). While they look really cute, they don’t smell all that great…
I’m glad you managed to get a few shots. I took a photo of a hedgehog last week but this is a bit more unusual.
You should post the pic of the hedgehog, we don’t really get them in Cape Town, but we do have penguins :-)
Well spotted! Not something you would ever see by the side of any road here in Yorkshire. This kind of photo is the reason why I always try to have a camera on me, you just never know what is just around the corner.
Thanks Paul, I agree, yhou literally know what is just around the corner do you. I am glad I grabbed my point and shoot as I was leaving. It is not something you really see on the side of the road in Cape Town either, it was a bit strange :-)
That´s so cute!Great shots,Craig.Í had still never penguins in my garden ;O))…only hedgehogs or sometimes little frogs.
