A lot of people told me to avoid eating on the streets in Kolkata, but if you find a busy place, it’s going to be good (and very inexpensive) food. On our street food experience in Kolkata we had some of the best food I’ve ever eaten, and we were both fine the next day.

India is the best place in the world for street photography. There is literally something to photograph on almost every corner, this is just a small selection.

I love visiting food markets when I travel, and Kolkata is a treat for the senses.

We start off with Indian desserts, most of the Indian desserts I had were made from a condensed milk bass, a little like shortbread, but much richer.

I am not sure where they are originally from, but you find chimney cakes for sale all over central Europe. They are light and fluffy, and drizzled with sugar and cinnamon. Best eaten hot, you’ll never forget the amazing taste. And the secret ingredience, as clearly stated, is love butter.
